Description

Introduction

Echinacea purpurea extract generally uses aerial parts of Echinacea Purpurea. EP has been widely culturated after introduction into China. Because echinacea is a perennial plant, it is ploughed every three years. The plant root supply is are very limited and unsustainable. Since root herb are imported. The root extract price is relatively higher.

The medicinal varieties of Echinacea mainly include,

The main ingredient is polyphenol, cichoric acid. Polyphenol complex compounds are generally detected by UV. The content of USP polyphenols in the United States is the sum of the content measured separately in the liquid phase and used as a dietary supplement.

Why Choose us:

In our Echinacea purpurea extract cichoric acid assay , Sigma standard agent is used, which is the most reputated all over the world.

While with different standard agent brand, the content can vary much.

Victarbio’s cichoric acid content is accurate and complied with USP content assay process .

Since the company was established in 2010, it has selected echinacea extract as its knockout product. Specicalied echinacea purpurea farm is contracted with us to guarantee raw material supply. Extraction process are controlled and after professional team discussion.

Cooperate with leading third party lab like Eurofin, SGS, Alex Sterwd detects heavy metals, pesticide residues, and PAHs to issue an objective assay report.

Typical product Assay

4% Cichoric acid products:

Among them, chlorogenic acid: 0.006%, caffeic acid: 2.31%, echinacea: 0.13%, cichoric acid: 4.17%,

total phenolic acid: 6.62%

2% Cichoric acid products:

Among them, chlorogenic acid: 0.006%, caffeic acid: 1.69%, echinacea: 0.065%, cichoric acid: 2.82%, total phenolic acid: 4.58%

cichoric acid

Echinacea purpurea extract contains a variety of chemical components, mainly including polysaccharides, glycoproteins, alkyl amines, caffeic acid derivatives and other compounds. Cichoric acid is a derivative of caffeic acid and is one of the most important immunologically active components in echinacea. Pharmacological studies have shown that cichoric acid has enhanced immune function, anti-inflammatory effects, and can inhibit hyaluronidase and protect collagen m from the influence of free radicals that can lead to degradation. Recent studies have also shown that cichoric acid can inhibit HIV-1 and H1V-1 integrase. Therefore, whether in this type of plant medicine or in related health foods, the content of chrysanthemic acid has become one of the important quality indicators for evaluating its preparations.

Function:

Polysaccharides: The high molecular polysaccharides of echinacea such as isoxylan and arabinose have immunostimulatory effects, which can stimulate the proliferation of monocytes and the activity of macrophages, so that macrophages can release tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-a), Interleukin and interferon beta-2. TNF-α has an antiviral effect and induces the body to resist the infection of different DNA and RNA viruses; interleukin-1, interleukin-6 and TNF-α are of great significance to the recovery of infection and the activation of CD4+ T cells.

Alkylamide compounds: have immunomodulatory and anti-upper respiratory tract infection effects. Experiments have shown that the alkylamide contained in Echinacea can inhibit the activities of 5-lipoxygenase and cyclooxygenase, thereby increasing the number of NK cells.

2. Antiviral effect

Echinacea purpurea extract powder  can inhibit influenza, herpes and vesicular viruses and other viruses, and can inhibit the activity of hyaluronidase, thereby preventing the virus from binding to cell surface receptors; the polysaccharide part of Echinacea has an interferon-like effect, which can inhibit the virus Growth; Echinacea can affect the function of alveolar macrophages, especially to promote the production of NO and TNF-α by macrophages. Alveolar macrophages release NO to destroy the infectious vector, which is related to antiviral and can prevent and treat colds. A large number of clinical trials have proved that Echinacea has a good inhibitory effect on various viral diseases, such as avian cold, atypical Newcastle disease, spreading (respiratory, kidney), bursa of fabric, spleen necrosis, pig's ring Virus disease, porcine parvovirus disease, etc.

3. Anti-inflammatory activity and antibacterial activity

Polysaccharides and caffeic acid have certain antibacterial activity; the unsaturated isobutyl amide contained in the roots and aerial parts of Echinacea has immunomodulatory function, can prevent pathogens from causing inflammation, has strong anti-inflammatory activity, and can be used for bacterial infections. In severe bacterial infections, Echinacea can significantly increase the effect when combined with antibacterial drugs.

Indications: Used before and after vaccine immunization of pigs and chickens, it can increase antibody titer and prolong antibody peak time; used for viral diseases such as mild influenza, atypical Newcastle disease, infectious bursitis; pig blue ear disease, round Adjuvant treatment of cyclovirus, etc.

Usage and dosage: add 1000 grams of echinacea powder mixture per ton of feed; add 1000 ml of echinacea solution per ton of water for 5-7 days.
