How to make

One typical method to produce 4% cichoric acid:

The echinacea herb are crushed into coarse powder and reflux with 70% ethanol . The alcohol extract is sucked into a reduced-pressure concentration tank, press ethyl to about 1/4 of the original volume (the pressed liquid also contains 15%-20% ethanol), centrifuged the fluidextract to remove the sediment, and concentrated to 15±5 Baume (thermal test), add appropriate amount of auxiliary materials, stir evenly, spray dry, sieving, mixing, and pack to obtain the finished product.

The yield of the this method is 24%-25%, and the content of cichoric acid is about 4%, which is suitable for the production of echinacea extract containing 4% cichoric acid.
