Below is typical method to produce ginkgo biloba extract.

Remove foreign matter and and mold leaves, wash and dry.reflux with 70% ethanol and , extract the solution, filter, recover the ethanol under reduced pressure, centrifuge at high speed to remove the residue, dilute with an appropriate amount of pure water, and add to the macroporous adsorption resin column. Wash with column until the eluent is clear and light in color. Then elute with a proper volume ethanol, collect the eluent, concentrate under reduced pressure, and dry under vacuum.
