Active components
(1) Anthraquinone compounds
Including aloin, aloe-emodin, aloe-chrysophanol, aloe saponins, and aloe nin. There are dozens of kinds of aloe vera, aloemycin, postmonat aloin, etc., which are the active ingredients in aloe and mainly exist in the outer skin of aloe leaves.
(2) Aloe polysaccharides
Aloe polysaccharides mainly exist in the gel of aloe leaves, that is, the transparent sticky part surrounded by the leaf skin. So far ethoxylated glucan, glucomannan, arabino-galactan, etc are isolated. The molecular structure, composition and relative molecular weight of aloe polysaccharides are related to the variety, growth environment and growth period of aloe.
Process flow
Fresh aloe leaves → washing, disinfecting, removing corners → beating → colloid mill
→ Centrifugal filtration → storage tank → sterilization → raw juice → decolorization → microfiltration → ultrafiltration → reverse osmosis → aloe polysaccharide solution → concentration
Peel → enzymatic hydrolysis → extraction of aloin solution → refined → aloin
Storage
Aloin is thermally unstable. aloin content decreases rapidly at 80°C while it basically remains unchanged at 15°C. Therefore, aloin is not suitable for heat treatment, and attention should be paid to low temperature during storage;
Aloin shall also be kept in shady place since it gradually decreases under strong light ; with the increase of pH, the stability of aloin gradually decreases; Therefore aloin is relatively stable in environment of temperature 15℃, protected from light ( for solid) and acidic environment with PH=1 (for liquid)
Medical function
1)antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effects.
Thanks to the anthrone compounds in Aloe vera extract, it appears good performance in bactericidal, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, detoxifying, and promoting wound healing. Studies have found that aloe vera and aloe-emodin both have The antiseptic and anti-inflammatory functions of aloe can effectively eliminate acne. It is clinically used to treat a variety of inflammations, with remarkable curative effect
2) Stomach invigorating and laxative effects.
Aloe vera extract has stomach invigorating and laxative effects, mainly because aloe vera contains aloe-emodin glycosides and other effective ingredients. It has the functions of invigorating the stomach and diarrhea, increasing appetite and diarrhea of the large intestine.
