About
Rutin is the rutinoside of the flavonol compound, a flavonoid extracted from plants. The
flowering buds of Sophora japonica L. can reach more than 20%, and it is the main raw material for extracting rutin in my country's pharmaceutical industry. Rutin can be hydrolyzed in the presence of strong acidity and alkalinity. It is unstable in color in alkaline foods and works as antioxidant. Its ethanol solution can improve the light resistance of pigment preparations, prevent the gradual disappearance or change of fragrance, and can improve its antioxidant capacity when used in combination with vitamin E. The inhibitory effect of rutin on lipid peroxidation is related to its enhancement of SOD activity and the promotion of oxygen free radical scavenging.
How to extract
