Resveratrol powder is of polyphenol compound and generally made from Giant knotweed or Polygonum cuspidatum and grape Vitis. Resveratrol and its derivatives are mainly found in at least 72 plants of 21 families and 31 genera including Arachis, Veratrum, Cassia, Mulberry, etc.
The roots and rhizomes of Polygonum cuspidatum are the source to extract.
Natural resveratrol mainly exists in Polygonum cuspidatum in the form of polydatin and high content of resveratrol can be obtained through biological fermentation. Natural resveratrol in plants is rare.

Extract Method
Polygonum cuspidatum, a traditional TCM herb, itself contains a small amount of resveratrol, but it contains up to about 3% polydatin. Which can turn to resveratrol after biological fermentation. Some scholars use rhizozyme bacteria to carry out liquid fermentation of the crude extract of polydatin to convert polydatin into resveratrol, with a conversion rate of 95.8%.
Resveratrol exists in the form of resveratrol glycosides in many plants, which can be hydrolyzed into resveratrol powder with help of enzyme. This method can reach higher outcome.
