Product Introduction

Paprika red is an safe pigment added in food processing. The product complies with GB 10783-2008. Its EU code is 160c. It is a tetraterpenoid orange-red pigment that exists in ripe red pepper fruits and belongs to carotenoid pigments. Among them, the more majority are capsanthin and capsaicin, accounting for 50% to 60% while the rest are carotene and corn yellow.


Soluble in ethanol, easily soluble in vegetable oil, acetone, ether, chloroform, almost insoluble in water, insoluble in glycerin.
