Product Introduction
Baicalin Powder is a flavonoid compound extracted and isolated from the root of Scutellaria baicalensis. It is a pale yellow powder at room temperature and has a bitter taste. Insoluble in methanol, ethanol, acetone, slightly soluble in chloroform and nitrobenzene, almost insoluble in water, soluble in hot acetic acid. It is green in case of ferric chloride, and orange precipitate is formed in case of lead acetate. Soluble in alkali and ammonia water, it turns yellow at first, and soon becomes black-brown.
It has significant biological activity, with antibacterial, diuretic, anti-inflammatory, cholesterol-lowering, anti-thrombotic, relieving asthma, purging fire and detoxification, stopping blood, tocolytic, anti-allergic and antispasmodic effects, and it is also used for mammalian liver salivation.
The specific inhibitor of the enzyme has the effect of regulating certain diseases, and also has a strong physiological effect of anti-cancer response. Extraction process
Put Scutellaria baicalensis into 12 times (8 times) hot water and boil for 30 minutes, combine the two decoctions, adjust pH 1～2 with hydrochloric acid, keep at 80°C for 30 minutes, place, filter, collect the precipitate, add 95% ethanol for washing 2 to 3 times. Suction filtration and drying at 60°C to obtain crude baicalin. Suspend the crude product in 10 times the amount of water, adjust the pH to 6.5-7.0 with 40% sodium hydroxide, add activated carbon, stand at 80°C for 30 minutes, add the same amount of ethanol, filter with suction, and use salt in the filtrate.
Adjust the pH with acid to 1～2. Incubate at 80°C for 30 minutes, place for more than 10 hours, pour off the supernatant, wash the precipitate with ethanol for 2 to 3 times, filter with suction, collect the precipitate, and dry at 60°C to obtain baicalin.
